Cleveland Office Expanding

E-merging Technologies Group has arranged with its current landlord a major office expansion and upgrade to handle our growing office needs in Cleveland. We are now targeting this expansion move for November 1. Our new office space will provide multiple private offices, conference rooms, and other amenities to help facilitate our growth.

Dr. Charles Painter - Guest Speaker

Dr. Painter was the keynote speaker at the Northern Ohio Software Quality Assurance Association (NOSQAA) 4th Annual Opening Event held at Westfield Group’s Blair Center. The NOSQAA represents a group of professionals who are dedicated to promoting Software Quality Assurance throughout Northern Ohio.

The topic for this event was Enterprise Risk Management and how ERM affects Information Technology. Dr. Painter led a lively discussion period at the conclusion of his remarks.

New Reston Office Open Houses

E-merging Technologies Group hosted three separate August Open House events launching the opening of our new Reston Offices. Dr. Painter served as the host for these scheduled events which targeted our Northern Virginia staff, our upcoming proposed candidates on a variety of programs and bids, our valued customers and our new building colleagues. The turnout for all three events exceeded our expectations and were enjoyed by all.

Lew Merletti named Chairman, Senior Advisory Board

Lewis C. Merletti, currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Cleveland Browns, has agreed to serve as E-merging Technologies Group's Chairman of its Senior Advisory Board.

Mr. Merletti, is the Retired Director of the United States Secret Service and is a 25-year veteran. He has protected Presidents Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George Bush and Bill Clinton. From Lew's service in the United States Army with the Special Forces to his Secret Service assignments in Philadelphia, New York, and Washington, D.C., and as its Director, he has distinguished himself at every level. Under Lew's direction, the United States Secret Service provided a secure environment for the President, the Vice President and their families, former Presidents and visiting heads of states while also playing a vital role in protecting our nation from terrorism, counterfeiting, and other financial crimes.

Mr. Merletti's counsel and experiences in global security, national security and national defense will greatly assist E-merging Technologies Group in reaching its growth goals.

NSETS II Contract Win

Team CPA Alliance (led by Caldwell Technologies) has notified E-merging Technologies Group, Inc. that team CPA Alliance has been awarded an NSETS II Tier I contract. NSETS II (the NSA Small Business Set-aside) is a follow-on to the original NSETS program. NSETS II is an important agency initiative that will enable NSA to competitively acquire agency requirements for business, engineering, information technology, operations support, and training services from teams of highly qualified small businesses. It follows on the extremely successful NSETS I, which is expiring at the end of FY 2007. NSA strives to meet or exceed its small business utilization goals, while at the same time acquire the highest quality services and support for the Agency. NSETS II is expected to greatly contribute to the Agency's small business utilization goals. More importantly, the NSETS II contracts will provide vehicles for the Agency to receive services and support of the highest caliber for the next six years.

Timothy Dobeck named SVP, ETG's new CIBU

E-merging Technologies Group, Inc. has named Timothy Dobeck its Senior Vice President, Cyber Intelligence Business Unit (CIBU). Mr. Dobeck will direct and manage the specialized E-merging Technologies Group's technical resources conducting computer security assessments and computer forensics engagements.

Timothy Dobeck is currently the elected Law Director and Chief Prosecutor for the City of Parma, and has held that position since 1999. Mr. Dobeck is also a partner in the law firm of Boyko & Dobeck, where he practices estate planning and probate law.

He received his Juris Doctor degree from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in 1986, after which he served as an Assistant County Prosecutor in Cuyahoga County from 1987 until 1998. During his tenure with the Prosecutor's Office, Mr. Dobeck spent nine (9) years in the Major Trial Division, the unit responsible for handling murder, rape and public corruption cases.

Mr. Dobeck has lectured frequently and is considered an expert in the areas of identity theft and internet safety. He has an exceptional understanding of the Amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure that address Electronic Discovery. He has the expertise and the experience to conduct the preservation of electronic evidence in complex investigations.

Mr. Dobeck is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Parma Bar Association, Metropolitan Crime Clinic, Inc., the Northern Ohio Information Technology Round Table (NOITR), the Parma Area Chamber of Commerce, and he is past President of the Cuyahoga County Law Director's Association.

ProTeam Forensics Acquired

August 1, 2007

E-merging Technologies Group has acquired ProTeam Forensics to enhance its strategic position in the information security and computer forensics fields. This key acquisition will operate under ETGís newly formed Cyber Intelligence Business Unit and provide additional support to other ETG components as needed. ProTeam Forensics was a niche firm founded by former US Secret Service Agents.

GSA Alliant Contract Win

CSC has officially notified E-merging Technologies Group, Inc. that we are on their winning team for the GSA Alliant contract. Twenty-nine contractors have earned spots on the General Services Administrationís Alliant contract. GSA announced the winners today. GSA had been working on Alliant for several years. The agency has not yet awarded Alliant Small Business, a companion contract to Alliant. That could come as late as the end of the year, said John Johnson, assistant commissioner of integrated technology services at GSA. However, Alliant contractors must award at least 50 percent of their subcontracting dollars to small businesses, he said. The 29 winners will now compete with one another for task orders. In all, 66 companies submitted bids for Alliant, said Jim Ghiloni, GSA's Alliant program manager. The contract spans a five-year period with one five-year extension option, and has a ceiling of $50 billion.

ETG opens new offices in Reston, Virginia

ETG recently completed successful lease term negotiations for its new offices located at 1984 Isaac Newton Square West, Suite 402, Reston, Virginia 20190. ETG plans to operate its Intelligence Community Business Unit and DoD Business Unit from this location. Open House receptions for our Northern Virginia staff and our clients are being planned for sometime in August.

Julie Lawrence named Business Manager of ICBU

Ms. Julie Lawrence has been named the Business Manager of E-merging Technologies Group, Inc.'s Intelligence Community Business Unit. Ms. Lawrence has nearly 20 years of experience in government contracting. In recent years, she has specialized in staffing and managing contracts supporting the Central Intelligence Agency, the National Counterterrorism Center, the National Security Agency, the Department of State and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Prior to joining E-merging Technologies Group, Ms. Lawrence served as Business Manager of the Threat Integration Division at Science Applications International Corporation and as a Biometrics Analyst at the National Counterterrorism Center. As a Hiring Manager, Ms. Lawrence was responsible for staffing one of the Intelligence Community's largest Intelligence Analysis and Mission Support contracts. Ms. Lawrence is a trained Directorate of Intelligence Analyst and Collection Management Officer as well as a staffing and sales professional.

E-merging Technologies Group Invited to Great Lakes Fusion Center Pilot Project

E-merging Technologies Group, Inc. (E-merging Technologies Group) attended a technical working session with the State of Ohio's Homeland Security Team at the Ohio Strategic Analysis and Information Center (SAIC) in Columbus, Ohio. The main objective of this session was to discuss Business Continuity Planning dealing with natural disasters, infrastructure interruptions and terrorist threats.

Invited guests included representatives from DHS, State of Ohio Homeland Security, Ohio National Guard, TSA and various law enforcement agencies. Private sector representatives included Wal*Mart, GM, AEP, Ford, Cardinal Health, Target, The Limited and many other Fortune 250 companies.

(E-merging Technologies Group) has successfully been engaged to support multiple National Security initiatives and has achieved the necessary individual and facility clearances required to support the major Washington D.C. based primes serving the governments Intelligence Community (IC). However, we recognized that we needed strong DC-based IC leadership to continue to support our rapidly growing and strong IC contract foundation. In fulfilling this particular business objective, we are most pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Charles Painter to our firm.

Dr. Charles N. Painter, an 18-year CIA veteran, has joined E-merging Technologies Group as a Senior Vice President and investment partner leading the firms growing Intelligence Community Business Unit. Dr. Painter brings an abundance of experience supporting the Intelligence Community as both a government manager and industrial contractor. Most recently, he served as an Assistant Vice President and Senior Program Manager for Science Applications International Corporation directing multiple National Security projects supporting CIA, the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency and the Department of Homeland Security.
